Sooooo yesterday i got rid of my red hair, which i miss deeply now T^T BUT i wanna tell you about my experience with a colour remover, since i was scared of these before >_> I used color oops extra conditioning and it just cost me like 6 bucks! (it was on sale at my local rexall... i think regular is like $12) Before i used this, i did my research and found out this: doesn't use bleach & smells like eggs (really bad rotten eggs) BUT THATS ALL! Nothing about using on bright red hair.... or asian hair.... i found a few videos but it didnt provide a whole lot of info
Anyways, i'm not an expert... blah blah... and (insert those disclaimer things about me not being responsible for u using this and i wasn't paid to do this....) lol this is just my experience with it
It came with two bottles of... err the stuff.... pair of gloves, shower cap, nozzle, and instructions
ABOUT MY HAIR (like how it was before i used this product)
- asian hair
- dyed with l'oreal hicolour red hot (twice)
- dyed with manic panic rock n roll red when l'oreal faded...
- faded manic panic so has orange-y red pink hair
meeeeee.... T^T i miss that hair |
i admit, it does smell like rotten eggs but not too strong... BUT i do always have a stuffy nose so... it might be one of those odd perks of being someone with allergies ^o^ *sighhhhh*...allergies -___-
What i do have to say is that i hate how liquidly it is... and being the messy person i am... it drip EVERYWHERE "> _> my white tabletop was unharmed but i had a black carpet so it left white dots... and also since the liquid is clear, you can't spot the drips....
KEEP YOUR BLACK (or coloured) CARPETS AWAY!!!
the wait was fast... i put on the shower cap, cleaned up, then read manga... time flew so fast, even when i checked every 5 mins... to take pictures for you guys ;)
-5 mins- .... cleaning up my mess |
-10 mins- finished cleaning!! |
-15 mins- U SEE THAT COLOUR CHANGE :O |
-20 mins- i was worried since there was red left.... |
Results!
when still wet... |
wahhhh i dont like this colour thou |
In the end it got all the red... but since i have black hair as my natural colour it obviously wont return my hair to its original colour. I left this orange-brown coloured hair (which i thought was normal since hair naturally has like red pigments or something like that, so its expected for my asian hair to be brassy)
Color Oops
- Cost: 5/5 .... i know i got it on sale but even at regular it just cost as much as box dye
- Smell: 3/5 ... hair dye smells bad too, its not a smell i couldn't stand, but it does smell bad
- Application 3/5... too liquidly... but i still got a pretty even application on my hair
- Product 4/5 ... got rid of the red but hard to judge if it got ALL of it since i was left with brassy hair did not damage my hair!!!
- Name 5/5 ... Oops is a funny word...
i would buy this again but i would try a different one first since liquidly product = mess = me getting my mom mad :P it does its job thou and i'm dying over it anyways
-Tiffany ~_~ i will be dying my hair tomorrow....
I was wondering what you used when you initially dyed your hair that red? did you bleach it? if so what would you recommend I want to dye my hair that color red
