10. Pikachu Nail

gahhhhh so cute > u<

*pika pikaaa*
Since its once again time to paint my nails...
(TT^TT why do my nails chip so fast!!!)
I wanted to do pokemon nails.... here is the
start of 10 pokemon nail tutorials > u<
Y separate? well... i though if i mushed them
into one you'd all be spammed with too
many pictures xP

Lets start with pikachu!
why? well, at least for me, pikachu is the first
pokemon i've encountered

(\__/)
(o':'o)

Things i used:
  • Base coat - China Glaze Strong Adhesion Base Coat
  • Top coat - Seche Vite
  • Background colour - China Glaze Re-fresh mint
  • Yellow - O.P.I. Need Sunglasses?
  • Red - China Glaze Poinsttia
  • Black - Eleanor ENP001
  • White - O.P.I. Alpine Snow
  • Dotting tool
  • Nail brush

Step 1: Base coat, and paint on background colour. Choose a colour that contrasts with yellow, unless you want to outline your pikachu. I chose a light mint green o uo

Step 2: Paint a large semi circle at the edge of your nail, then paint 2 long triangles for pikachu's ears. I just used my nail polish's original brush but you can use a nail art brush if thats easier for you.

leave enough room for ears!!

After painting the triangles go over the semi circle to smooth
it out ;D
Step 3: With your dotting tool make eyes and fill in the top of the ears with black.

Errr... make the eyes bigger than mine... i noticed after i
finished
Step 4: Using your nail art brush or a really small paint brush, paint a tiny triangle for the nose, and a "flat w"? as the mouth... if you are having trouble with a curved w, just do for straight strokes and make a zig-zag.... also you can fix up the ears now

Step 5: Once again, with your dotting tool take some red, and dot on those signature red cheeks! and with a smaller dotting tool add white to the eyes.

PIKACHUUUUU is complete o uo
Step 6: Add your top coat, and your done! :)

click the tutorial page for the rest of these pokemon ;)
Now your done pikachu! Why don't you paint more pokemon on the rest of your nails? ;)
If not, you can always paint pokeballs or have plain/patterned polish on the rest of your nails!

Thanks for looking at our blog :) We hope you enjoy this as much as we do xD Be sure to check out the rest of the pokemon nails too on our tutorial page!
